Frozen Shoulder
Frozen shoulder pain can be a very serious condition. This is when either slowly or all of a sudden there is a drastic reduction in the range of motion in the shoulder joint. Also a unique aspect to this condition is that it can appear out of nowhere. Patients report to have just been reaching for something then realize that they can not move the shoulder as they could moments before.
Active Release Technique is highly effective for this condition as it can be used to release the layers of muscle that surround the shoulder (rotator cuff). This allows the range of motion to be returned progressively. Also this leads to the ability to release the very deep structures which can cause frozen shoulder symptoms to be prolonged.
