Carpal Tunnel

Carpal tunnel syndrome is a very well researched area of health. This is due to many different professions being affected by the symptoms. There have been many reasons proposed as to why it happens and that due to certain anatomy, some people are predisposed to having problems.

Usually the first signs of carpal tunnel are pains in the wrist and sometimes having numbness into the hand.

The traditional treatment is to stabilize the wrist during repetitive motions to decrease irritation or to use a more ergonomic motion to decrease irritation to the carpal tunnel.

At Preston Health Collective we have found that by using Active Release techniques to analyze and treat the entire median nerve from the neck to the wrist the symptoms of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome can be relieved without surgery in only takes a few visits.

There are many reasons why this is treatment is so effective. The main reason is that by treating the entire length of the nerve, all irritation that is accumulating in the nerve’s path to the wrist and hand will be removed thus decreasing and eventually ending the carpal tunnel symptoms.

Carpal tunnel syndrome is a very manageable condition to treat and this manual release of nerve irritation should be seriously considered before more invasive methods of treatment like surgery are attempted.

If surgery has been attempted and not been completely successful, Active Release treatment on the rest of the nerve tract can still be very effective.
