Hand Cramping

Hand cramping is a general term for when the hand does not want to open to a full range of motion or even to relax after a strong grip of an object. At times this situation can even be to the point where the person must actually push on the fingers to open the hand.

The problem with general symptoms is that they can be caused by may different tissues. Basically there must be either tension adhesion or contracture of the local tissues. A Certified Active Release Provider can accurately examine and determine the exact tissues that need to be addressed.

Being specific is very important with this condition because it can be very sensitive and painful if treatment is applied inappropriately to these tissues. Also using the correct depth to apply treatment to the injured layer of the hand.

Another very important consideration is the nerves that pass through the area. You must ensure that they are not already being irritated by the contracted tissue as well as possible further damage by non specific treatment.
