Weak Grip Strength

Weak grip strength can be caused by many different issues. In diagnosing these types of problems the doctor will determine if there is injury or irritation to the nerves, muscles, tendons or even the lack of drainage to an area causing tension.

Weakness caused by nerve can be initiated by irritation to the nerve somewhere along it’s path to the weak muscle/muscles. This is why ART is so effective for this type of weakness. Art protocols are used to identify the location and prompt removal of the adhesion. This is similar to many cases of “Carpal Tunnel”.

When weakness is caused by muscle it is usually caused by increased tension of the fascia of the muscle itself or by another overdeveloped muscle that is in close proximity that is causing irritation and loss of function.

Tendons can cause weakness by physical damage to the tendon itself either by adhesion or restriction of sliding of the tendon during contraction.

Ultimately, there are many causes of weakness in grip strength and by getting examined by a highly knowledgeable certified ART provider you can determine the exact cause and treat it right away.
