Active Release for Nerves
Active Release is used to free up nerves that have become stuck between tissues. When a nerve becomes trapped, the body then tries to compensate by limiting the range of motion of the muscles in that area.
A very common nerve that gets trapped is the sciatic nerve. It becomes trapped easily because most people sit directly on the sciatic nerve for at least 8 hours a day. Also, this situation is made worse be trying to stretch the hamstrings. The hamstrings are usually tight to protect the sciatic nerve from any further damage.
The best solution is to work with an Active Release provider who has been trained specifically to release that nerve.
These ART providers have been trained to treat all the major nerve tracts of the body:
Median Nerve (Inside of arm)
Ulnar Nerve (Inside of arm)
Radial Nerve (Outside of arm)
Sciatic Nerve (Back of leg)
Femoral Nerve (Front of leg)
